Here's a trick a PT taught me... It won't cure it, but will help some.
Turn your head as far as you can opposite the crick. Take the hand from the same side as the crick and hold it against your chin. Turn your head back towards the crick while using the hand on your chin to lightly resist the turn. You can do this several times a day and it should shorten the length of time you're in pain.
