Sterlington man tells wife "I will eat you" then tries to bite her

STERLINGTON, La. - (7/30/18) The Sterlington Police Department has arrested a man after they say he told his wife he was going to eat her and tries to bite her during an argument.

Aaron Stephens, 26 of Sterlington, was arrested on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

According to the arrest report, officers responded to 429 Paige Circle in reference to an unknown incident.

Once officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who said her husband, Aaron S. Stephens, was mad because their 15-month-old son was crying.

The victim said Stephens pushed open the bedroom door, hitting the baby in the head causing a small contusion.

The baby left the bedroom screaming. The victim said while she was in the bathroom, she heard the baby crying and sounded as if his cry was being muffled and heard Stephens say, “shut the f*** up”. The victim said she went to get her child and went back to the bedroom. Stephens then took his left hand, slapped her on the right side of her head causing her to fall to the bed while holding her child. The victim said Stephens then jumped on top of her and said, “I will eat you”. Stephens then tried to bite the victim.

Stephens is currently being held in the Ouachita Correctional Center on a charge of domestic abuse battery and child endangerment.

His bond has not yet been set.
