State Police: Trooper, another person injured in officer-involved shooting in Baton Rouge

A Louisiana State Police trooper and another person were injured during an officer-involved shooting following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning in Baton Rouge, according to State Police.
Shortly after 3 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop at Perkins Road and Potwin Drive. Shots were fired shortly after the stop, according to State Police.
The trooper suffered minor injuries, and another person was transported to an area hospital.
No other details were immediately available.

Likely got pulled over for a license plate light out.

Good to see that MOU between EBRSO, BRPD, and LSP that states another agency will investigate officer involved shootings that occur in EBR doesn’t apply to LSP.
