I had vivid restless dreams when I took it. I would wake up and feel that I hadn't slept. Only took it for acweek or so. I called my doc and told him about the restless nights and that I wasn't getting good sleep. He told me to stop taking it.

Good luck.

I have been on it for a little over 3 months now. I dipped non stop if I was awake unless eating, smoked and chewed nicorrette gum on top of all that. I have had no nicotine in 2 months and have no desire for any. If I can quit that habit it will help anyone.

This is your final exam! Shut the booze down for at least a couple of weeks in conjunction with the Chantix and by football season you will be able to drink like a champ and not smoke. Are you quitting weed too?

just be sure that you immediately discontinue use and contact the prescribing doctor if you experience any negative emotional effects.

I haven't used it, but have a number of coworkers who have....

I have to say, it is the only thing that I have ever seen that is remotely effective in helping people stop smoking...it is not a miracle drug that is gonna simply remove the urge from you, but if you are really ready to quit, you can do it with chantix...

the folks that I worked with, all had some minor side effects, but it was nothing that made any of them quit taking it...mostly, they just got aggravated more frequently (and I am not sure that wasn't just from not smoking)...

good luck to you...and don't be stressing over whether you will be successful or not...just make up your mind and do it....

It's the withdrawal not the drug

I don't smoke all the time. I might have 1 or 2 on the way to the office...but when I drink (which is about every other day) I'm a chimney.

I am actually hoping that I won't go drink as much anymore too, because I think I actually go have drinks after work, just so I can smoke.

It doesn't help with alcoholism.
