In their contract, I am sure it says recess duty, carpool, and dances are part of the job description. Therefore, it is part of your job and is covered by the salary.

In the CBA for my wife's district, they go into an very detailed level of what the requirements are. Down to lunch duty, partent teacher conference hours, etc.
