It's not misleading. Your own personal biases have you unable to read properly. So any actual facts from the article you want to argue?

You could have simply said no instead of tripling down.

Seems he was fired due to not wearing a mask and for constantly talking poorly about the school/school board. He did speak up a great deal on masks and helped to organize push back against mask policy which I’m sure ruffled some feathers.
I have no clue about him as a teacher at Fountainebleau. Would be interesting to hear if northshore folks have any firsthand knowledge.

the title. He was fired because he wouldn’t wear a mask, which is required
Wrong.
Section 3: FACE COVERINGS
Subsection C: The requirements in Subsection (A) do not apply to the following:
quote:
3) any individual with a medical condition that prevents the wearing of a face covering;
You even quoted it.
But it goes on...
quote:
“I made it clear on social media that I would not be wearing a mask to work when the Louisiana Governor issues his new mask mandate; reason #1 is because I am exempt according to the governor’s mandate, reason #2 is that I was given an exemption from my employer. Louisiana had a mask mandate that was to go into full effect on Wednesday, August 4th. On August 3rd, Louisiana was under a voluntary mask mandate,” Koeppel wrote.
quote:
THEN I was later notified that my employer was very upset with my public involvement in the community. They referenced my social media platforms and said that I am unprofessional and am not allowed to speak openly on matters other than for general discussion. However – the local teacher’s union told me that I do have a right to free speech, and that is protected
And then there's this...
quote:
Koeppel also explained that on his official termination letter that it does not give a reason as to why he was fired.
Whoopsie!
Translation: he was fired for taking a stand against CRT and exposing a tool which was being used to push CRT.

The principal and the superintendent had no real problem with his political activism off campus....and I assure you the principal is old school and runs a tight ship. He asked Koeppel last school year to stay away from it on campus and to follow the rules that were in place for all teachers. He went in on that Tuesday without a mask was asked to place one on...the other teachers had masks on ( verified that with coaches that were there) and he proceeded to tell the principal, his boss to frick off. He's not some martyr, he's an a-hole.
