Nothing will happen until at least early afternoon. Hell, ESL isn't dangerous at 9AM.

If today follows typical days, there will be a vigil/protest by the family and supporters later in the afternoon. While all protests obviously have some confrontational aspect to them or there wouldn't be a need to protest, it will the peaceful. As that dissipates and it gets dark the thugs will return and the stupid shite will begin again. During the day, I wouldn't expect any fireworks. I was in a nearby area yesterday afternoon just after lunch and while cops had some roads blocked off at different points, it was otherwise pretty normal.

Just to put some reference to the pictures, the no parking and the boards have been up for months as there has been construction going on for what seems like forever.

Reedus23 has said it over and over again.

I have said Canfield is not a whole lot different than the street my kids play/walk/run/ride on. I have also said that 99.9% of the time no cop is going to tell people like my kids to get off of the street. Apparently the Ferguson PD makes up the .1% of times cops do tell you to get off of such streets.

I'm unclear what this even means.

Good, this is the proper way to protest, not stealing the Jordans you've been wanting.

This is how the Browns and supporters have been protesting. The rioting and looting are just thugs that could care less about what happened with Michael Brown and are just using it as an excuse to go crazy.

In all honesty, this would only hurt North County. The Mills,Clayton, and Richmond Heights would love this. They had to put a 24 hour police presence in the Galleria mall because of the riff raff coming in from Metro link. A freakin sub station had to be put in, to keep the riff raff from stealing them blind. I knew the Cop who started it all there.

I fear SoCo mall could see trouble. Dumpo,Cahokia, etc are not far from via Route 3 and 255.

They built a Golden Corral, and within 2 weeks, they had to put a St.Louis county police officer in there, because of the riff raff from city, dumpo, cahokia, etc coming over and causing trouble.

They have been. They are just now boots on ground here. Just gonna make matters worse before they get better.

I really don't care if the black community of St. Louis is upset about this shooting. They sit passively by night after night in city after city as black youth slaughter each other in the streets by the scores yet they want to burn stuff when a black kid catches a bullet in a cop shooting? They have no credibility.

These protestors don't have jobs?

No jobs, employers overreacting and closing for the day or just taking the day off to support the family.

Out of this whole situation, 1 guy is gaining steam, and will take on Slay in next Mayor election. Anthony French, he's been on many of the big networks talking, he's been there on the scene. He's gaining major traction, politically.

My father who retired from SLPD(35 years), told me, he's the only alderman who actually gives a shite. He put in cameras to deter crime, he's on the streets talking to his district, not hiding in city hall or at their 2nd job in the county.

Auburn grad.

Has actually led some of the protests. Not the looting shite. But was getting people to actually sit with their hands raised. I presume he felt this would be a less threatening approach as far as LE is concerned. Don't think he organized it, but he was in the midst of it and trying to keep it civil disobedience, all to no avail later in the night.

Didn't realize Cahokia had gotten rougher. Yeah it's been 25 years since I was there (used to race RC cars there back in the day) and thought it was more redneckier, but I thought it wasn't nearly on the same level as ESL.

Yeah, Cahokia is turning to a shite hole.

The only white people left are the hoosiers(white trash).
