Yep, that is exactly what I'm doing.
I've actually got personal experience with a dirty cop, but I'm not that shallow-minded to let such an isolated event could my judgment. To each his own I guess...

I didn't read that the police hadn't contacted them until today. I heard (representatives on radio) as of yesterday, they had not asked to speak to him. Could have last night I suppose. Or like I said, they could all be lying.

I agree with all that. I see it as a police issue. My black friends would see a racial issue first. I'd also say it's likely Brown escalated the situation. But it's just not possible to say the police didn't have any culpability. Especially now.

Gotta get a good night's sleep now for my PTA board meeting and tennis match tomorrow. An affluent white girl in suburbia questioning if police might have been wrong here. What is this world coming to? I wish more people would approach these things with questions instead of blinders.

I haven't been able to confirm it myself, but know of someone who has checked it out. According to that person, his sheet is clean.

Where do you guys get this idea from? There are tons of departments that don't have cameras in their cruisers.
I don't know what the national percentage is but I wouldn't be surprised if the departments without dash cams outnumbered the ones that do.

And as for your earlier post about there being "rumblings" brown had priors,
1. How is that relevant here?
2. There have also been rumblings that he was standing in the middle of the street with his hands up and was shot approximately 6 times. You've established you don't believe that, so what good are "rumblings" exactly?

Look, even one dirty cop is too many, but it is asinine that people are so anti-cop. Some of you cannot wait for a cop to make a mistake. That has to be miserable.

Fair enough. I'm anxious to see what details emerge from the final investigation. We all agree that something went terribly wrong, but I'd like to know what it was.
