St. George petitions will be mailed out this week

If you signed the petition last time, expect one in the mail soon. Follow the instructions in the LINK

Kind of feel like an idiot, but when it comes to a vote, that's parish wide or city-wide? Or is just people that would fall in the proposed area?

State law specifies only those in the proposed area are eligible to sign the petition and vote on it.

My apartment falls outside the specified zone, but my future house will be in it. Maybe by the time a vote comes around I'll be eligible for that part!

They aren't protesting the vote mind you. Protesting the petition to get it on a ballot in the hope that it won't get to a point were the people can decide.
