I flew them recently, Fort Lauderdale to New Orleans. It was a last minute trip to New Orleans and got round trip for $100. I did not have to bring any extra bags other than a personal carry on (free). If I had to do an unexpected last minute trip, I would use them again.

Seats are a little tighter together than Southwest. If I remember, the seats did not recline. It was pretty crazy at the check in counter, people arguing with the ticket workers.

Flown spirit this summer - you will be charged for all luggage including carry ons, all snacks and even to print your boarding pass at the kiosk.
The money I thought I was saving was loss in all the fees.
Never again

I wouldn't fly them but I've heard that they will cancel flights with little notice if they aren't full.

I blamed all this on my self. We laughed when upon pre-landing that our seats needed to be in upright position- we informed the crew we were already upright - lol
