Believe it or not my worst hotel experience recently was at the royal sonesta on Bourbon. The room wasn't ready when we got there so we left our bags in the car. When it was time to check-in, the valet gave my wife the keys and said, "it's over there somewhere. I was at the desk and she walked in carrying both our bags. Bellman never even flinched. The room was still as the last person left it. They told us it would be a few hours before it was ready. When we left, the valet couldn't be found so we got in our car and drove away.
I posted a VERY negative comment on Priceline. Sonesta got in contact with me and gave me a free night. I don't know if I even want to use it.
