I can't remember the names, but I think it had to do with a girl, I think an LSU student, who went missing a few years back. In the thread discussing the whole thing some guy saw some of the details they had of the suspect and it reminded him of some guy who dated his sister, who they all knew was off. He reported it to the police and it ended up being the killer.
I think that is right but I've only heard that second hand so I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

The guy who killed the girl in Laffy. Hit her bike...can't remember POS name. He killed another girl a few years earlier and is suspected of one in Texas prior to that.
Bought a new truck, same make and model as one used in the killing, but tried to act like it was same truck. Poster figured it out, called cops.

It's been a while, but if I'm thinking of the right story, someone on here was suspicious of someone they knew and it turned out their suspicions were well founded. I don't remember names or anything but even if I did I'd probably be better off not posting them anyway by the sounds of this thread. Lol

I don't think he was. Adam4Lsu was the op. When I found TD in the aftermath of 1/9/12 I stuck around lurking on and off for a bit. Glad I did, that posting was surreal as well as the real time sleuthing and how quick info came on this site that took DAYS for the media to get. Crazy.
