re: Spinoff: Who here has been to rehab?

I felt like a couple of the people there were chronic rehab patients because they didn't have anyone or anything in their lives. It seemed like being in rehab made them feel wanted and gave them purpose. I guess they figure if insurance is paying for it, what's the problem?
I'd say that 5% of the people were actually 100% dedicated to it. When most people got out, we'd hear about them going back to the same shite a week or two later. Now, IDGAF about those people because I didn't know them and don't care to ever hear from them again, but those were some of my observations.

So true. I met guys that had been through 4-5 times. Their parents kept sending them back because at least they knew where their kids were.
Kids were institutionalized. No different than jail.

I think I was 26 or 27, so three or four years ago.

I have a fear for Bama. He's a dick. I have a care for Hammertime. He's a dick. I have a concern for Vegas. He's also a dick. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I got pulled over and charged with felony DWI coming home from a Christmas party. fricking cop ran into the back of me at a stoplight and I ended up in jail.
He didn't read that my second one was dropped, so he charged me with 3rd, and the DA decided not to press charges on that one, so all I had to do was sit in jail for a week and a half and go to rehab for 2 months. Sucks, but I shouldn't have been drinking and driving

Did you get your career back on track?

Impressive, but dangerous, from what I gather.

I've been in several outpatient, and a couple of inpatient. Inpatient was never over a week, I couldn't stand being "locked up" so I would check myself out. Hospital three times, and AA off and on.
Meet some interesting people in rehab. Last time I was in a facility for a week, there was an ex athlete (not a household name, but for sports fans...they may know his name) who was in again because his last place of residence was a homeless shelter and he couldn't stay away from booze and pills. White guy, 6'-6" tall. His wife kicked him out because he loaded up his kids in the car and the cops found him passed out in a ditch, he didn't remember any of it.

Wasn't exactly a career, just a really good job that I enjoyed while I was in school. My boss was understanding, and I got it back when I came home

I went at 15 under court order. Charter Woods in Dothan. I'd been busted with some weed. It was ridiculous. They put me on Paxil before I was even done in-processing, despite my insistence that I wasn't depressed, and never had been. Everyone else was in for crack, heroin, or alcohol, except me and this black dude, who was also court ordered for weed. We just sat around and laughed at the crazy stories and he became my best connect when we got out.
