A real man of the people he is. I assume he will be moving underprivileged into the 5 extra bedrooms.
Maybe he reads TD and knows that an 8,000 sq ft house is OT poor.

jfc 9 1/2 bathrooms. This is why you shouldn't have daughters.

That could hold 10 Syrian refugees or 250 Mexican families.

TV above the fireplace? Trashy.

Nice house.
Where does the help stay? Do they have their own staircase?

Palm trees and purple trim work to be added shortly.

In Woodbridge, Va.

Absolutely. And they enter through an alley in the back.

There will be several modifications to that home before he moves in. SOP
The Bush family bought the house adjacent to their Dallas home on Daria Pl to make room for expansion, hidden parking, and a security fence. I think that whole subdivision is gated now.

Of course he will be renting out 4 of those bedrooms to those undocumented refugees he wants to let in with no questions asked...

How much will he be paying per month?

Correct, it is now

It's on Belmont Road NW....about half a block east of the Oman Embassy and Islamic Center (in case someone wanted to google map it). I imagine that the surrounding houses are either staunch supporters or secure embassy facilities. The Hilton where Reagan was shot is not far.
That's a nice area with a somewhat confusing street grid, and it's semi-secluded. Probably not a bad place for an ex-president that wants to make millions more off taxpayers and lobbying firms. House looks nice enough to be comfortable even if you can't just walk down the street like a normal person - which is something ex-presidents can't really do without a team of secret service with them.
I think George W. Bush's house may not be quite as fancy, but the fact that he's in a posh Dallas neighborhood and not in DC says a lot about the guy.

LBJ - moves back to Texas
Nixon- moves back to California
Ford - don't know
Reagan- moves back to California
Bush- moves back to Texas
Clinton - moves to NY (don't blame him for not going back to Ark)
W. Bush - moves back to Texas
Obama - stays in D.C.?
To be fair, he still has a younger daughter in school. Maybe they want to stay there until she finishes.

That's why they're staying and leasing not buying.
