Yea, I remember well when Tommy built it but Martinez Seafood is on Hwy 431. I think you might mean Hayward's Seafood. Billy & Charlotte Hayward ran that place for a while. It was a store before that.

This I have no logical answer for, you would think instead of calling 44 where it goes thru town Burnside, it would be Main St. The only thing of significance on Main St. was the Gonzales Country Club and it closed down so now there is really nothing unless you count The Carriage House.

Main street was named that looooong before the golf course was there. It was named that back when the water ways was the system of transportation. That was the frontage road to the river when the area was first settled.

I know that, I was just stating that it was the only thing of significance. Not much going on there otherwise. Nothing "main" about it.

Which time, there wasn't only one time this happened at the "Y".

It's not Main as in "This is the main thuroughfare of travel", it's more Main as in, "whatcha up to, main?"

And I still call it the "Galvez Y" even though it hasn't been for years.

Three people I went to school with robbed the Red River Bank that's where it used to be. One was either Fish Dog's brother or his shooters brother.

Hey wait. Martinez Seafood was never at the Galvez Y .... That was Hayward Seafood just before it was torn down and road modified to a T. It was a store originally. More than one person ran into it. That's why they tore it down. A friend of mine went shopping there one foggy night back in the late '60s.
