That and it was definitely not a cash deal.

I pay a hefty price for it yearly, I think that gives me some merit. A tenet knows the true value of the land first hand, he pays with it by the sweat of his brow.

Cost of offshore oil is too expensive to justify the premium that was paid. It’ll probably take decades for a positive ROI. Just too much shale oil to be had.

Quit regurgitating dumb shite, back it up with facts. Rent far exceeds property taxes, that’s a week argument.

Making money on land right now is mineral rights and lucking into development areas

True on the Shelf.

But some very smart people are putting billions into deepwater. Shale is very short cycle. That makes it less risky on a well basis. But it also means constantly drilling new wells.

Deepwater is on a thirty to forty year cycle.

I just looked it up for Louisiana it’s .51%, so come at me with something better than that.

I’ve got some oceanfront property in Arizona that I’d like to rent you.

Would you be interested?

Have my family been mentioned? Every time you take a bite of a sammich your ole lady brings with your beer, that’s money in my pocket.

Renting the land is not where the money comes from, it’s producing crops that gross 1000 an acre. That’s not my argument, you have to work your on land.

So now the renter is the money maker?

The owner is just whatever

The goal is to own and work your own land. My argument was never about making money renting land. You brought that into the equation and ran with it.

Honestly I didn’t know what state you’re leasing your land in, La is higher due to mineral rights and crooked politicians, it’s different in Miss and Alabama

But still, land owners aren’t getting rich leasing to goat farmers like yourself.

The owners get to reap the government incentives and the money on the lease
