Not of death... Just the process of dying

I am scared of the unknown. I don't want to die young and I don't want to leave people hurting when I die. That is what scares me.

Wouldn't want to burn.
I almost drowned one time and while scary, you actually hold your breath until you pass out. Once you pass out, you resume breathing and drown. It was mentally taxing while it was happening, but not painful in any way. Luckily I popped back up out of the rapid at the last second. Would have blacked out within a few seconds.
Woman died in same spot the next day. class 5 Pillow Rock Rapids on the Upper Gaulley river.
Edit: this all happened in front of the cameraman from the tour guide so it was It was all caught on film. The entire raft flipped not long after this pic. I was back right of raft and already underwater in this pic. That's my paddle blade sticking up. I was upside down with feet still locked in boat trying not to let water go up my nose. Guy in green shirt sleeve was person in front of me.

-'Not scared of death, just very confused about what happens after death. Do you just see black? Are you gone? Is it a prolonged feeling of blacking out?'
I had an experience during my cardiac arrest. Not light nor darkness, kind of subdued. No pain and pure happiness. That's why I'm not scared to go back.

No, i have made the choices in my life that got me to where i am. Should i have made different choices, yes but my choices were mine and mine only. No one else should be responsible for them.

What was your thought about death precardiac arrest? Were you scared of it or did you not care? Wouldn't your opinion on death possibly have an effect on how you felt after? Or would it be a blissful type of relief?
