I would say they are much more reliable than anything produced from 2000-2008. Since being taken over by TaTa Motors, they have changed drastically. At the end of the day, they are made in factories by people, not in heaven by angels. So yea, things will go wrong, just like any other vehicle. But you can NOT beat the craftsmanship and ride quality. Hey, it costs to look good.

I replaced both my front bags for under $1k. Did it myself. These things really aren't bad to work on. Especially with the Atlantic British videos.
