Every year Thoth visits local hospitals and nursing homes. Last night they had a party at the Hainkel home on Henry Clay in New Orleans. You could see a lot of joy on the faces of the residents.
The Chalmette High brass band was also there, and they were really good.

Thoth was originally made up by a bunch of Shriners and ...gasp....Masons. They help fund Children's Hospital in uptown as well as other Children's hospitals around the country. Actually the parade stars at Children's hospital.
It's really a fantastic organization and has really gown into one of he premier parades in the city during Mardi Gras
