SpaceX Falcon Heavy Launch Day Thread | Pregaming with a Falcon 9 Launch as well

Take 2... but we got a Falcon 9 launch to pregame with... also from Kennedy Space Center
Falcon 9 launch is set for 5:12 PM CDT
Falcon Heavy launch set for 6:29 PM CDT
NASASpaceflight YouTube link to watch both launches live
For just the 6th time since it became operational... SpaceX is launching Falcon Heavy... currently SpaceX's biggest operational rocket... today from launch complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center
Meanwhile... some positive movement over at Boca Chica and the Starship test site where the launch tower "chopsticks" were finally lowered... showing they are still moveable and weren't damaged by the Starship/Super Heavy launch last week
Also... the booster quick disconnect protective hood was finally opened for the 1st time since it slammed shut at T-0 last Thursday

I heard the boosters were going all the way up and not returning as usual because of it's a heavy load going into geo orbit. Not positive, though.

ah shoot... that's correct... no booster landings today
the NASASpaceflight description says all boosters will be expended on today's flight

weather has forced SpaceX to move the launch attempt to the end of the launch window in the hopes the bad stuff moved out in time

scrubbed to tomorrow night due to severe weather around the Cape
tomorrow's launch window is the same as tonight's attempt... 57 minutes long starting at 7:29 PM EDT/6:29 PM CDT

Two launches within an hour of each other is pretty badass

Are we go or no go for launch?
inside 10 minutes to the Falcon 9 launch and it looks gassed up and ready for launch

really is... esp. from the same facility... not on opposite coasts (like 1 at KSC and 1 at Vandenberg AFB in Cali.)

and with that launch now finished and the mission well on its way... we are now less than 1 hr 10 mins away from the Falcon Heavy launch

reminder that the 3 Falcon 9 boosters that make up Falcon Heavy today will all be expended... no fun landing of the boosters on the 2nd launch of the day
