All that resources and wealth just wasted on liberalism and leftist thinking. What a shame.

California jobs pay well, but unless youre upper middle class to rich youre screwed.

Even the upper middle can afford a decent home elsewhere.

Imagine what California could be if they had some competent people running that state. JHC.

They have all of this because, at one time, competent people did run that state.

Can't wait till the housing prices go down because of the exodus so I can swoop in and get a house in La Jolla on the cheap.

Los Angeles: Its $790 billion GDP is No. 1 among US counties, just ahead of New York (Manhattan) and Cook (Chicago). Compared with states, LA output approximates Pennsylvania’s economy. LA’s GDP grew 2.1% for the year, but is up only 3% since 2019.

What products does LACounty actually produce that benefit the US?

I mean, half of that is just the Extra amount it costs for everything. Almost anything you do is much more expensive than it would be in Louisiana.

California through the 70s was probably heaven. When enough wealthy moved there, they pulled up the ladder and made it unaffordable, like all progressive places do.

Damn, I forgot about that.

I wonder if Cali loosened some of its limits on oil and gas exploration and other mining applications if they could right the ship using their resources instead of depending on Hollywood and Silicon Valley to dig them out of this hole.

Just about everything. Defense, auto, electronics, etc. Have you ever been there? There's more to than what they show on Fox News or Facebook memes.

They trot this around like a glowing endorsement of liberalism, but fail to mention that California, like the United States, is completely broke.

Meanwhile a U-Haul going out of Cal costs about $3k, but one going in is under $1k.
