For me, it usually goes in stages. I'll slowly lose some for maybe a year, then it'll stop for a few years. I wear a hat outside most of the time because I'm standing under the damn sun and don't like wearing sunglasses. I'm outside a lot, so I wear it a lot. My shite comes off once I go inside though. I'm pretty sure my roommate sleeps in his hat because I'll only see under there like once every week or two.
Since it happens in phases, I don't think wearing a hat has anything to do with it.
Eta: When I shave my head, it literally makes me look like a retard, so that's never happening

My brother started balding in high school. You could start up the rogaine and all that stuff, or let it be.
My tarot cards show Bald + Goatee in his future.

Think of yourself as sight-impaired friendly.

That seems to be what everyone says about it. If I had to pick I would pick boners all day long. I almost always just thrown on a hat since I was a kid when I go out because my hair is thick and nappy anyways so wearing a hat to cover bald wouldn't bother me because I am so used to them , being with a woman and being a limp dick would really bother me though.
I had the same decision to make in my early 20's. I starting thinning at about 21 and was very noticeable by about 24-25. I went to the scalp with a razor and have never looked back. No matter how secure everyone thinks they are, something like this can really get to you if you let it. Once you break down and deal with it and accept it, it's a weight off your back. I love shaving it now and it's who I am. Not that I wouldn't want my hair back, who wouldn't, but Ive made peace with it long ago and I like it now. If youre a handsome guy, then youre a handsome guy and women or people in general typically couldn't give a shite. It's all about how you carry yourself, how confident you are, and how much charisma you have. And money. That helps too.
I looked into propecia and all of that, but there is a 75% chance you will have major sexual side effects. frick that, I like fricking too much and it was an easy choice once I sucked it up and went to the scalp.
Jones, buy him a razor and some blades and some sunscreen.

This guy gets it. Did the same thing at 33. I just shaved it. My wife still loves me and I've come to peace with it. My kids laugh at my old pictures from high school when I still had hair. They're just not used to seeing me that way.
You can do the Rogaine/Propecia thing, but it's cheaper to just accept it and shave your melon.
