6.5 hours before letting the public know they believe there were no other shooters?

Not that they owe me an explanation, but I would like to know why they would allow the public to remain on edge for that long.

Hopefully we will get answers tomorrow.

Maybe they don't want people showing up at the scene right after it happened

They are investigating this as an act of terror by the Black Panthers and they want to be 100% sure of things before they state that and piss off the BLM community.

Those 2 tht were detained are involved, and that is why they didn't think there is still an active shooter situation....because they have them in custody.

This is all my guesstimation, BTW.

wow you hit the nail on the head. They don't need to give you anything unless it is to help public safety. They already told people just stay home and don't go out if you don't need to... So why don't you just listen... Jeez

Great . But if they knew this to be true at 12:00, why leave the public on edge? Clearly, nerves were frayed and it wouldn't take much for other whacks out there to react unnecessarily to something that didn't exist ( 2nd and 3rd possible shooting suspect)

Seems like public safety was taken seriously today.

Maybe so they don't put an innocent man's face all over news as a possible suspect like what happened in Dallas?

Every network and paper reporting who shooter was as soon as the press conference ended. No idea why the LSP didnt announce it

Because for LEO it's much easier to clear scenes with people holed up in their respective houses than to have regular daily traffic/play time impeding action.

Thank you. I knew there was a solid reason. Just couldn't think of one.
