i had a neighbor with a jones for oak leaves. he waited around for the guy across the street with 3 water oaks to bag them, then added them to his summer pile of grass clippings. gotta mix some carbon in with the nitrogen to get a real decomp going.

In highschool, my friends and I would ride around the neighborhoods and take the fresh leaf rakings and throw it around other kid's yards. It was a blast.

People are pretty amazing scavengers.
I removed some screen doors and a sliding door thingy off my shower right after we bought the house. I had to call the city to schedule an "Irregular Garbage Pickup"
Put that stuff out there late the night before. By the time the scheduled pickup occurred there wasn't much left, let alone anything "irregular" sized. The garbage guys must have thought I was a real a-hole.
