Somebody tell me about Primerica.

Yesterday morning I got a call out of the blue from a recruiter guy (I think), said a buddy of mine from college recommended me for their line of work. Called my buddy that afternoon and caught up a bit, asked him about the job, he mentioned commission-based pay and told me he worked for Primerica.
I can't point to anything specific that 'proves' it but the whole thing feels very suspicious to me. Anybody been cold-called by somebody with Primerica about working for them?

Primerica is actually a legit company. I started employment with Primerica and team national earlier this year. I know my pay off is coming soon!!!! Eeek... Fingers crossed

My sister did it for 2 years and was fully brainwashed that it was not a pyramid scheme. She recently came to her senses and got a real job.

My BIL is heavily into it. Always on FB with these silly quotes about being your own boss and changing people's lives. It's all about recruiting.
