Lol. I remember when I was 18 and I thought I knew everything.
Let me ask you a question kiddo. If I sold you a boat while it sat in the water. You chose not to pick it up and inspect the bottom, chose not to test drive it, or even run the engines. We closed the transaction, issued a notorized bill of sale and tranfered the funds. Deal was done.
Then you left the lawyers office and went straight to the boat. Tried to start the engines and they didn't start. Not only that, but once you got the boat on the trailer you noticed a hole in the bottom. You think I'm going to give you your money back because your dumbass didn't do a thorough inspection?
Or what if you did do a thorough inspection and he engines did start pre purchase, but after the sale when you went home and started the boat you blew an engine? You think I'm going to give you a refund? If you answered yes to either of those questions you're more of a dumbass then I figured.

Do you know the difference between a private sale and buying through a dealer?
Posted on 9/27/15 at 12:12 pm to TSLG
So you can't answer the question. It would be nice if you would admit it.

So, we change the scenario to fit our arguments?
I thought the discussion was about warranties. I never said that a buyer didn't have a duty to inspect the item. Redhibition would not apply if a defect is apparent or should have been discovered by a reasonable buyer.
However, this has nothing to do with the original discussion.

I think I've answered them.

Since you have trouble answering questions I will try to make this easier for you is the information from an official Louisiana government website that I posted correct?
Yes or no?

Jesus Christ you can't be this stupid. My scenario is almost exactly what the OP's scenario is.

It'd probably maybe sometimes could be right for someone in the usa.
They took it from the FTC's website. You posted the ftc link, so I thought you knew this.

The scenario sounds reasonably close, but the topic is totally different.
Your retarded arse has been arguing about implied warranties; now, your argument is about a buyer's duty to inspect.
I really hope you guys are trolls or under 15.

No you dumb frick. My argument is about whether the seller is obligated to return the money if the buyer finds a defect after the point of sale. Are you really this fricking dumb?

Is the information posted on a LA state government website in reference to private party auto sales correct for private party sales in the state of La??
This is a really simple fricking question. YES or NO?

Is that your new argument?
Ok. In certain cases, absolutely. It depends on several things.

Private sales usually are not covered by the “implied warranties” of state law. That means a private sale probably will be on an “as is” basis, unless your purchase agreement with the seller specifically states otherwise. If you have a written contract, the seller must live up to the promises stated in the contract. The car also may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty or a separately purchased service contract. However, warranties and service contracts may not be transferable, and other limits or costs may apply. Before you buy the car, ask to review its warranty or service contract. Many states do not require individuals to ensure that their vehicles will pass state inspection or carry a minimum warranty before they offer them for sale. Ask your state Attorney General’s office or local consumer protection agency about the requirements in your state.
You mean this portion? The portion that the commission plagiarized from a federal agency's website?
You mean this generalized, broad arse statement, which finishes with a message to contact your own state's attorney general?
Let me ask a question. Would a group of used car dealers have an interest in making a private party automobile purchase seem dangerous?
To sum it up...yes, you're a fricking idiot.

You do realize this is a state regulatory agency right??

Let me ask you something. We have several attorneys that are regular posters here. If they tell you that you are wrong on this matter will you concede that you are wrong?
