I'm sure they'll be generally scoffed at, but I am getting incredible mileage from my Hanes over the calf socks
They haven't shrunk and the elastic is still great after probably 15-20 washes.
I'm only now getting holes in the toes if I don't keep my big toenails cut. A+++

Not LL Bean. Socks are comfortable and warm but they start to slide down the leg.
