I made it about one minute into that video before I realized I hated that guy more than just about any social justice warrior.

Question about “blind links” - you are sayin that if the poster doesn’t title the link, it’s somehow questionable to open?

Couldn’t he just mistitle it and have you open it if harm was intended?

So what difference does it make?
I do title mine as a courtesy, but when a link isn’t titled , you assume what? Or you fear what?

I see this said often and I don’t think I understand why people get upset as if a blind link is somehow nefarious and a title would alleviate that risk.

You don't understand because you don't know what a "blind link is."

The subject is vague and the link itself "even if hovering over it" doesn't give the reader any context into what he is in for when clicking on it. That's a blind link. It has nothing to do with adding a "title" to the link.

If a poster is too lazy to label or include a description of their link then it likely isn’t worth my time

No context given, could be NSFW material on the unknown website, it was posted during work hours, so people may be on work computers, etc. A thread with a vague title and the entire post is "LINK" is lazy and the starter of said thread deserves to be shamed. SHAME SHAME SHAME!

He could label it to give any context he wants if he had bad intentions, blind or not, it wouldn’t matter.

Usually, the link is related to the subject. I don’t see how titling or labeling ensures it’s safe. Good chance it’s safe if a poster included supporting material.

It just seems it’s a breach of internet etiquette, more than anything else.

Someone could link gay monkey midget scat porn and label it straight monkey midget scat porn to trick you folks...Sinister intentions are better hidden with non-blind links anyway.
