I have great long-term neighbors of 20+ years. We don't get into those issues since everyone just picks up or mulches the leaves, pine straw, etc that falls in their yard. If limbs fall from my trees into the neighbors yards, I pick them up and put them on my burn pile. I'll even grab limbs from their trees if not too far away and put those on the pile too. We all have yards that are about 2.5 acres. Big yards, lots of trees. We even mow each other's yards when any are out of town for a week or more. Not everyone is that kind but you usually get treated the same as you treat others. Golden rule works mostly.

I always thought you were to keep grasses out of your garden, it doesn’t increase weeds?

Should have mentioned that I head to the local supermarkets to get cardboard boxes that they toss or burn and I cut them to lay between the rows.

The grass clippings go on top of the cardboard and are mixed with leaves and over time they decompose, along with the cardboard under it. Been doing that for a couple decades in my garden and grow stuff year round with our mild winters in the N.O. area.
