There were over 400,000 signatures on a petition to recall the judge, but he won his seat today running unopposed

What about that do you find humorous?

I guess you think she enjoyed it?

Were they both shite-faced college kids?

Not excusing the behavior but trying to grasp the nuances of the situation. The original thread had lots of stupidity I wasn't in the mood to sift through.

She was apparently passed out while he defiled her and he was drunk. They said it was caught on camera but of course we didn't see the video.

That if a retarded monkey would have thrown their hat in the ring before the deadline to file papers and run against that idiot judge, the monkey would have won in a landslide.

As I said in the other thread, there were no "facts" about this case that weren't what was physically found on the victim and the two witnesses riding by to stop it. Both parties involved were blackout drunk and don't remember what transpired before the incident, so it would be very hard for a judge to lock the male away for decades while lacking THAT many hard facts. 6 months is entirely too light, 6 years would've been more appropriate. But 20 years in prison based off of after-the-fact (after both parties fully came-to) accounts of the situation would've been irresponsible on the judge's part.

He was still a piece of shite for taking advantage of a fully passed out female, but the fact that it couldnt be proven whether or not it was conscentual at the beginning played a lot into the defendants favor. 6 months in the Pen isn't exactly a slap on the wrist, especially to a 19 year old swimmer on scholarship to Stanford, but it does paint the punishment in a rather weak light. Even a couple years would've appeased the masses a little more. I just don't think decades behind bars would've been appropriate considering half of the facts are washed away by drunkenness on both ends.

He still needs to rot in hell for all those foreign objects and pine needles and abrasions on the girl's body, continuing what he was doing after she passed out, and then running away from the bikers that rolled up on the scene.

He could've been a hero, a good example for other men his age, and looked up to by many if he had just taken the clearly inebriated girl to a safe place, or to her sister, and protected/comforted her until the next day when she was capable of making sound decisions. Instead he chose the "easy piece of 20 minute action" route and completely fricked up several lives in the process. For that alone he deserves much worse than 6 months.

Preciate it. It takes a sick person to video that unless they were intentionally going to use it to bust the guy.

You could read the deets in 5 minutes assuming you went to somewhere that is not LSU.

It is troubling, no doubt. Like almost ANY thing that goes to trial, it is NOT cut-and-dried. The girl was unconscious. At what point, who knows.

The defendant and his family could not have handled it any worse. The judge has made some unfortunate comments.

Yeah there was one guy defending it. I don't know if he was trolling.

TJGator and Asgard both defended the judge if I remember right. Apologies to Asgard if my memory is faulty. I'm sure about TJG.

I think there was a Trillhog alter defending the perp too.
