HFCS is already broken down by the acid in the product itself. By the time you are drinking it, there is no real difference between HFCS-55 and table sugar Coke, not taste-wise or health-wise.

I ask Grok to put together the data from available data and he produced this chart. There is a slight lag in insulin spike with the sucrose coke due to the extra step of requiring sucrase in the gut to breakdown sucrose into fructose and glucose. (BTW, in an lab setting sucrose is hydrolyzed into fructose and glucose in very warm water solution (50 degrees C) and low pH 1-2). But overall there is not much difference between the two sweeteners.

It is addictive.

I found this out after the first time I went to Europe.

if its addictive than would you go and guzzle down a whole bottle of the actual syrup?

let me guess...you are going to tell me its more addictive than cocaine and that all sugar is.....well I know most people have a bag of sugar in their house, if it was so addicting than people would just eat the whole bag and wouldnt be able to have it in the house. I promise if a Cocaine addict had a bag in their house....it would be gone in 2 days.

They are just gonna make mexican Coke here and sell it as a second product. The HFCS Coke will still be the main Coke.

HFCS Coke will still be avalable to the Ozympic users if thats your thing

Smart move. That's what I said they should do from the beginning. Charge a little premium for the real cane sugar and profit.
