Dude, like others have said, go to an outlying town. Never a line in Breaux Bridge. Or, if you must be in the big city, go to a public title agent. They will take care of you for a small fee. Totally worth the fee.

Sad, here in the great state of Texas you can book and adjust an appointment time through a mobile app.
Just show up, handle business, and avoid waiting in line with the undesirables.

We have a mega center here. In and out in less than 30. You can get in line from their website and speed it up.
I got an ID in Ruston one time too. Took 15 minutes.
