Did they sign something else for those people that I'm missing?
I work for a large company that mass produces and tests electronics for the military. Think bomb guidance systems, encryption systems, communication equipment, etc.
We've been told we will get sent home if one person test positive for covid with no promise at the moment of being paid.
My wife works for a nursing home that is owned by a guy that owns several. So "the company" also employees over 500.
I'm really worried if she gets sick, I do, or my company shuts down due to this we will lose half our income with the only support being 275 a week layoff pay from alabama for three weeks.
We just bought a house last year that I put alot of our savings into the down payment.
We still have the money to make it through this situation, but I'm afraid it's going to really strain us if something happens that ends up putting us out of work for more than a few months.
Anyway. Gotta hit the sack. Got work in the morning.

I dont rely on the fricking government.
But the government may cause me to lose my form of income and put me in a situation where almost no one will be hiring.

What’s your plan b
1. Try to get another job during the crisis if it goes on for a long time.
2. Cut way back on spending.
3. Take out a loan.
4. I have land I could sell in a huge emergency.
5. Pull out my retirement early.
6. Sell the house and downsize.

Just about every good job in Huntsville is D.O.D related.
If I worked directly for the government I wouldnt be worried. All of them are going to get paid for sure.

Go work at Kroger. They can't hire enough people right now.
