205 for St.Louis, they tried to hit 210 with a few this morning, but with it being cold as frick, ain't nobody shooting shite tonight.

Chicago had over 650 killed, over 3K shot

343 in Baltimore
NY toppled Detroit with 268 to 260ish

yeah, 3557 shot, 675 dead in chitown.

Yet, if you talk to a chicago resident, NO,Detroit,St.Louis, etc are worse with shootings. LOL such a head in sand city when it comes to crime and homicides

Somewhere around a 15% drop. Pretty impressive considering how bad it started.

St Tammany on the other hand....congrats on the huge jump in murder rate.

Last I remember, BR was at like 102 or 103, something like that.

Considering how small BR, that's a ton of murders. Also, the drastic upward trend in murders this past year is pretty disturbing. Went from 60 something murders in 2016, to 100+ in 2017.

Bro

Per capita is what cities who have super high numbers say, when they dwarf other cities crimes combined

Chicago has more homicides than st.louis, detroit,KC,NO,etc combined. That is embarrassing, hiding behind per capita is a joke

Those stats are for EBR, which is actually bigger than New Orleans.

Are you saying population wise it's bigger?

ERB is the most populous parish in the state I believe. Granted the vast majority of these murders happened in BR.

Yea, I guess that's what he was talking about.

I didn't realize New Orleans had that many this year too.

It's sad. Are Baton Rouge and New Orleans both still 1 and 2 or top 5 in murder rate/per capita? I think I remember they were sometime in the last few years.

But, it's so sad 2 of our cities are top for that. I listen to a lot of local music, including rap, and BR actually has a damn good local scene talent wise but big labels worry bc most also have long records and stay in trouble. Listening, and they actually brag about that and having a high murder rate. I sit back and think about it and think how fricked LA is when a huge part of our population think that shite is cool and brag about it.

I'm sure BR will be up there in the national per capita rankings this year unfortunately.
