I almost wish there were a strike. My wife has been getting packages like a motherfricker ridiculous.
My wife has roughly 450 orders the past two years.

Well I discovered what the problem is.
Amazon is subcontracting deliveries to the fricking post office.
A postal carrier delivered one Amazon package today, the rest of them have been lost in the USPS system since before Thanksgiving.
WTF.

Holy crap! I bet not a single person has known about this since Amazon and the USPS agreed to this in about 2012! Thanks for the discovery! It would explain why mail trucks have been driving around on Sundays delivering just Amazon packages for the past decade.
What next? A billionaire real estate magnate runs for president and wins?
Amazon Flex (the people delivering from their personal vehicles) handles same day delivery stuff if it is available in a warehouse close enough to qualify for same day delivery.
The Amazon deliveries done out of Amazon vans or trucks (this time of year they’ll rent u-haul vans) consist of smaller stuff under about 20 pounds.
If it’s between 20/25 pounds and 70 pounds, a lot of that crap is being funneled through the USPS.
For large items such as wood splitters, major appliances, etc. it usually gets dropped off by Amazon employees using a truck with a gate lift.
If your tracking number begins with “TBA” it will be or has been delivered by Amazon.
If your tracking number begins with “9300” or some other number in the 9000’s, it will be or has been delivered by the USPS.

Last week I ordered two day delivery PRIME and they were delivered almost 5 days later.
It may have been because it was a St Benedict bracelet & earrings that threw the order off, but don't say 2DAY if you cannot deliver.
If I order Fatma or Lourdes Holy Water I would expect a delay.

Are they not getting delivered, or just late? I have two that are late.

I'm glad my package of lube arrived earlier than expected.

I live in a nice zipcode and neighbor hood so all is well here.

My coffee beans (not from Amazon but through USPS) were suppose to be here Friday. They still aren't here. I've been rationing. One espresso tomorrow then I'm out until they show up.
