Anybody use a mouthguard to deal with snoring? I'm thinking of getting one, and I'm looking for recommendations.

Upon review, Val Kilmer should have used a mouth guard when whoring.

Mrs Füt & I don't snore, so no.

Sounds hideous.

Any idea of the brand? And is it one of the ones that pushes your lower jaw out, or one that pushes your tongue forward?

Tried nasal strips? Those sometimes help snorers too.

Get it from a dentist.

The OTC variety...might as well throw $100 in the trash

Have an ENT check your sinuses first. I had mine irrigated now I use Puresleep, they are adjustable.

LINK

This is the one i have. It pushes the lower jaw out. I got it for mild sleep apnea and it has been a life saver.

Don't work

According to research, CPAP is the definitive treatment

I'm sure most dentists will take your money

I for one would not

It's a good idea to talk with your dentist about it. I do a fair number of them in my practice and most people that snore have some sort of apneic episodes as well. These periodic states of not breathing can lead to multiple life threatening conditions so it's best not to mess around with it yourself.
