Part of being a "landlord." I'm not saying it's easy, but at the very least they should have said if you can get your own reservations we will reimburse up to X amount or standby for given accommodations. That's a lot better than grab your shite and get out now, hope you find a place to crash tonight.

I tend to agree, but I want to know exactly what the reasoning behind the evacuation is before I make any serious judgements.

I think we can at least agree what they did wasn't ideal. Even if it's out of their control sending that email leaves way more questions than answers, and if they were a private landlord they would be required by law to do more. I can't speak to whether they are or not as a university, but that doesn't make it right.

It's only worth it for the schools really. If I decide to live in Dallas after college that's probably where I'll try to put my kids.

The village is all what you want to pay. We're in one of the newer, gated parts and it's pricier than the older, open ones. $2200 for a 2 bed 2.5 bath, 2 story, 2 car attached garage townhouse.
