What is the purpose for posting the town’s population? Are they even accurate? Why do this?

Passing thru ‘China, TX population 1,260’. So, I stopped. I counted 957.

Liars.

I find that the nicer the sign, the fewer the number of democrats.

Not sure why they hate nice signs.

Because if they didn't, some city slicker would be passing through and stop for gas or something to eat and ask about it.

Same reason cities on the western plains and into the mountains list their elevation on the city limits signs.
