Murphys Restaurant in Griffin, GA. The best hamburgers around.

Buckner's Family Restaurant in Jackson, GA. The absolute best fried chicken you'll ever put in your mouth.

Marietta Diner in Marietta, GA. Although Marietta isn't small(60,000 people) but wanted to include it.

We live in Griffin/Williamson but we camp up there frequently (Fort Mountain) so we swing by there every chance we get. We've even made day trips up there during apple season.

Elijay is one of my absolute favorite locals in the state of Georgia.

I grew up 8 miles from Buckner's Family Restaurant. My dad(RIP) worked on their cooking equipment on the side. They're a wonderful, God-fearing family.

I hike the trails on Ft Mountain every year. I lived in Chatsworth for 3 years in 87-89. My house was about 4 miles from the base of the mountain.

First time we camped.there(tent) was the week of the first freeze. You could hear the wind coming up the side of the mountain at night. It was cold as frick but we enjoyed it.

Hiawassee is my favorite spot.

I grew up in southern West Virginia so honestly there wasn't much, but a few of my favorites:

Tudors (chain)
Ginos Pizza (chain)
Morrisons Drive Inn in Logan, WV
Parkway Drive Inn also in Logan

To this day when I go back to WV I eat at these places.

I am far younger than you but I spent a lot of years in Hammond. Hi-Ho was a staple in my life at one time.
