For a true joint sealant with backer rod (not painters caulk or similar). You push the bead into the joint rather than pulling it across it. Clean the tip often with a rag soaked in xylene, and tool the bead with a professional caulk tool (coated and cleaned with xylene).

For painters caulk you can just about do anything and get away with it- other than make the tube explode

this thread is making me feel better about myself. raised by a single mom but i can caulk and ratchet strap with the best of them

backing up a trailer makes my pits sweat though. also any kind of power saw

I’ve been eating unrefrigerated Heinz ketchup for decades. Same with mustard.

Instapot. Half cup or so of water. Steam button. Set to 6 minutes. Immediately fill with cold/ice water when finished.
