Gonna go out on a limb here and say it was rare that any of you except iwyLSUiwy had to get up at 7:30 on a Saturday morning and put on church clothes and a tie to go knock on doors.
Definitely in the minority here. And for sure didn't relate to the guy who played the Quiji board/talked to the dead with his grandma.

Thinking I can't wait to grow up and get me one of those magic checkbooks I see the grown ups use, so I can get whatever I want and simply write a check.

Getting excited my name was called by the coach that I made the team in little league.
The look on my best friends face when he got cut.
Mom was an exceptional horseback rider, but wasn't much into other sports. When Dad was in Vietnam, I went to Little League baseball tryouts. I didn't own a glove, and had never played one second of baseball. Mom bought me a toy glove, "Triple Play", a vinyl or plastic tiny glove. THanksfully, a young Marine took me aside, got me a real glove to use, and I ultimately made the team. He was a 19 year old Corporal who just got back from Vietnam.
Years later, I figured out that he banged my older sister (h.s. Senior). So, that might have factored in to why I got to play a lot.

When you were asleep in your car and your dad makes that final turn and you just knew you were home.
Not allowed to turn a light on inside the car at night.
Yep.
Actually being obedient to parents and authority.
Respect.
Climbing trees.
For some unknown reason, crawling under above ground houses in LA.
Drinking from the water hose.
Sunday after Mass meals at g'mas.
Sneaking down on Christmas morning to see what unwrapped presents Santa had brought.
Riding bikes for hours, under the age of 10, with no supervision.
