Infected gall-bladder with pancreatitis. The only time the pain stopped was when I puked, which was every 10 minutes. IV with phenagrin(sp?) didn't touch the puking and nothing they gave me for pain worked. They finally did emergency surgery to remove gall-bladder.

About 5 years ago, took a 7 days RCCL cruise out of New Orleans. Stops were Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel. First night I came down with Novo Virus and did not get out of the bed until we arrived back into the Port of New Orleans. If I would have had a gun, I would have shot myself. I would have jumped off the cabin balcony, but could not drag myself that far.

Gastritis when i was in my early 20's. Had me laid up over a week with horrible fevers. Couldn't keep anything down. Not even water.
Also had pneumonia. It was pretty horrible but recovered a lot faster then I did with gastritis.
For a short term illness, the worst was a kidney stone I had 2 weeks ago. Never had one before and it was the worst 4 hours of pain laying in the ER ever. I was so scared it was going to be even worse when I passed the stone but I didn't even feel it come out.

I had mono before my senior year of high school. I never threw up but that shite sucked.
It was during the World Cup, so for 2 weeks, all I did was sleep and watch soccer

Well I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and before I was diagnosed I dropped about 50 pounds very quickly and people thought I had cancer
Went through something similar with ulcerated colitis. Took about 10 different meds before they could find something that would work. Was pretty damn awful.

Walking around with complete CHF for about 4 months till it got to the point I was passing out from the chest/heart pain. shite almost killed me that day at work. Got home and the wife rushed me to the ER. I was so bad off, my body was shutting down and I didn't know it or the signs of CHF. Doctors didn't know what was going on other then my blood count was screwed up big time. I had so much fluid in my body that I had went from 185 to 220lbs in that time. Spent 3 months in the hospital till they were able to stabilize me somewhat.
That was 3 1/2 years ago and every day is a battle for the next.

Spent a week in the hospital for meningitis, the day they release me I get a kidney stone and catch the flu. I've also blown my ear drums a few times flying, that's painful

I have been sleeping in a chair for almost a week now, I tried sleeping in bed last night and I couldn't breathe. I had no idea your lungs could hold the amount of crap that has come up this morning. That's ok every time I cough some of it up the next breath is just a little easier. I probably don't know just how close this shite has come to killing me, the rocephen shot yesterday was a lifesaver. Without that I probably didn't have a couple of more days.
