The Times obtained June 2019 food safety inspection information from the Louisiana Department of Health. The Top 15 addresses with the most critical violations are listed, along with an explanation of the finding. A searchable database with all the inspection data available for the month is at the top of this story.

All restaurants in the Top 15 had at least seven critical violations. According to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, uncorrected critical violations are more likely to contribute to food contamination or illness. Non-critical violations are not directly related to food borne illness but could become critical if uncorrected.

quote:

In total, there were about 2,031 violations in two parishes, and approximately 32% of those were critical. More than 1,092 were corrected on site, during the inspection.

By parish, violations were:

Caddo: 1,227 total — 655 critical
Bossier: 804 — 236

Most of the critical violations across the region were for:

Toxic storage: 100
Food contact and utensils cleaned: 76
Food safety certification: 56
Date-marking food: 46

Yeah but the fact that there’s 138 counts of cross contamination is insane to me. I mean, that’s basic shite right there.

Well it’s impossible to be completely 100% clean when you’ve got 7 or 8 different dishes going out or things cooking.

Of course they do, when did I suggest otherwise?

If you haven't been to steakhouse and know what I'm talking about, then you shouldn't imply that I'm dumb. It's a subpar steakhouse in the vein of Morton's, Ruth's Chris, etc with the overpriced steak and family sides. It's epitomizes the stereotype that Shreveport is Dallas lite.

I'm laughing that the "I'm better than you" crowd of Shreveport is dining in filth.

Well those donut places are small time deals, attached to gas stations. The Captain John’s place isn’t surprising, place is a shithole. I’m pretty sure that the Pollo Regio is run by illegals and only illegals go there.

You've been there, that's nice. I grew up there. Again, if you don't know what you're talking about, just bow out, man.
