People already get a $10k tax credit at the closing of the adoption. It usually takes a year after getting the baby/babies and/or child/children.
More protection for adoptive parents should be developed.

After 8+ years my wife finally got pregnant about 6 months after that adoption fell through. We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter (no pics). So yes we were successful, but not in the way we thought we were going to have to go about it. Best and worst $25K we've ever lost.
