Drinking, driving AND voting should be 15 y/o.

Yeah, because not drinking legally has prevented 18 year olds from consuming alcohol.

Since you're not a fan of the Oxford comma, your sentence could have been very confusing had you swapped some words around.

One thing I wonder about is 18 year olds mostly drink at parties at people's houses and wherever else in a neighborhood.

If it was legal for 18 year olds to drink at bars and clubs and wherever else, you put more drunk drivers on freeways and other high traffic areas instead of slower driving neighborhoods.

It's more likely that people get killed at highway speeds than neighborhood driving.

Or I could be way off as I just came up with this theory 2 minutes ago.

But bars continue to be 21 to drink in public.

To be honest, I bet most bars would do this. There would be some bars that were 18 and up, but many that wouldn't have them.

But they shouldn't have to put their lives at risk to do it.

You are legally a adult at 18 according to the law. Therefore you should be permitted every privilege that comes with that. If its that damn important to not allow people to drink until 21 then they should change the age at which you are legally considered a adult to 21. That means no voting, no military etc etc.

Absolutely.

Or take away their voting rights, driving rights, and make them enlist past 21.

This half adult thing is BS.

I don't think it's BS. When people grow up, they are given different levels of responsibility at different ages.

I don't think an 18 year old shithead is really an adult.

Then why is it cool to put an M4 and a grenade in their hand or put them in the driver's seat of a 60 ton tank?

So should we treat 18 year olds as adults in criminal court?

Or let them handle artillery, train with machine guns, and play with combat knives and assault rifles and kill in the name of our country?
