As long as they were carrying it in a legal manner I would hope the school wouldn't do anything. The catch 22 is that if they have it on a school campus they technically aren't carrying it in a legal manner even if they have a CCP. If I had any relatives in the school system I would tell them to protect themselves if they felt comfortable doing so.

I'm a professor and I do not want to carry a gun on campus. On the other hand, I'm starting to feel like I need to. It is a sad and terrible time.

The bad thing about open carry, besides them not having proper training to defend the firearm, is the bad guys know who their biggest threats are and can take them out first.

I am also a professor. At this point, you keep scanning the class while teaching and give particular attention to the first 12-15 rows.
