I disagree with that. The whole point of these shows was for people to point and laugh because these people looked like "freaks" ... or looked "bad" by comparative standards.

That said, if some dude with three arms can get paid to stand there and shake everyone's hand, AND he's doing it on his own will, then I say let 'em. If he gets offended by people pointing and laughing he probably not going to volunteer to be put on display in the first place.
