My argument is plenty sensible, you're just trying to change the subject because all of my actual points are making you look like an ignorant pussy.

I'm sure everyone agrees with you.

I just read the entire article and nowhere in it have I found them to be leaning one way or the other regarding the incident.

Ohh,I'm pretty sure it's you who are trying to change the subject because your points you're trying to make have absolutely no bearings on this story.

Is there a droppie award or something for the poster that gets the most posters to agree with him or something?

Probably trying to tell you what he quoted brainiac.

quote:

Nocco said his detectives considered if the case qualified under the state's controversial "stand your ground law," which permits residents to employ deadly force if they fear imminent danger, but decided the criteria did not apply, MyFoxTampaBay.com reported.

If you're going to try to make a witty comment, don't forget the wit next time.

Nothing witty, a father is dead over silliness.

Obviously you are not very bright. We are talking about this instance. But your cognitive inadequacies took you to to "everyone" and "everyone" to justify your argument. I have had people texting in front of me with phones in their laps and the light still shines in my eyes. Evidently in this case it did bother him...because of noise or light shining in his eyes.

Wouldn't conservatives want stand your ground to apply?

im trying to show you that your belief that this murderer was justified and will be able to use "stand your ground" as a defense is without merit. You asked for a news story from a "conservative" news outlet, and i gave you one where the police are quoted as having considered "stand your ground" and determined it wasnt applicable.

now, you will probably say, "oh, well that doesnt prove he's guilty." but you didnt ask for proof, you asked for evidence.

Sad story. So many lives ruined over something so trivial.

Not that rational facts are going to matter while everyone is but in FL the Stand Your Ground statute provides immunity from prosecutions BUT my understanding is that the Defendant (shooter) generally has to invoke it and prove his position at a hearing. I don't think the Police generally rule on that issue in the field.

well you responded to the wrong person because I never said anything about stand your ground. I was talking about liberal media trying to convict the guy in the court of public opinion just as they always do.

I'm conservative, and I want the TRUTH to come out before someone is automatically said to be guilty. As of right now, not one of us know all the details of what happened. One thing I do know, both parties could have done things to prevent this from happening.

I am going to have to agree that, in my mind, there has got to be more to what happened. I would like to think that a career LEO didn't just twist off and shoot somebody over popcorn throwing or harsh words. BUT if he did, then he needs to go away. Once the media goes away, the investigators and the D.A. will figure it out.

yeah, and you are making your own narrative where the guy is justified. even though there is no evidence of that and no credible news agencies that we've seen are reporting that he was justified or that the other guy started a physical altercation. we just have you and a couple other morons fantasizing about the legality of using their guns on a person that is texting during the previews of a movie. just fyi, it makes you look and sound like a sick frick.

it's pretty funny that these posters who are intent to start an argument with me can't see that this was what I was saying.
I'm sick of all this court of public opinion shite being started by some in the liberal media.
They feel they have to be the story, twist the story to provoke a desired outcome before anyone even goes to court.

I wondered this too...Not worth reading the 8+ pages of arguments to see if it has even been breached
