If anything it's good info to avoid the area if you live here. Granted, most shootings happen in areas where I never go anyway. Acadian and North Blvd is a place that I'll occasionally drive through during the daytime.

There used to be just one or two shootings a week. Now that it's daily, it seems relevant to highlight each one, not to normalize it, but to drive home the contrast between previous years. Same is being done with the French quarter attacks.

It's south of Florida and close to BR Magnet. Right next to the hospital.

Baton Rouge is such a shithole. I can't see why anyone would ever want to live in that shithole much less visit there.

It's not the best area but generally pretty busy and ok during the daytime. No areas near the Alamo Plaza Motel can really be considered safe at night. North Acadian is the wild west.

The Alamo Plaza is nearly a mile from the location of this shooting.

The show must go on now that the one killer SWB gives a shite about is apparently caught.

I await her press conference on this one.

The shooting reportedly happened around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday night. Detectives on the scene were seen walking in and out of the Youth Oasis Center at the Greater Faith Assembly Church.

Damn 9:20pm outside a Youth Center and a church??? That's a pretty decent part of town right?

I guess the victim should have been a little more aware of his surroundings.

In general a lot of that area around Baton Rouge General isn't a place I'd frequent at night. It's at best on the border of the hood.

That youth center does good work but they get kids transitioning from foster care into adulthood and end up with some problem kids.

It's right on the edge. Other side of government is Catholic High.
