I have these and love them. I buy half a dozen at a time because I'm always around/on loud equipment and worksites. I've terrible hearing from when I was young and dumb and hunted and shot without hearing protection. I've had 5 incidents over the years where an irresponsible shooter in a waterfowl blind muzzle blasted me and severely damaged my hearing (and a couple of times the muzzle blast affected several others' hearing too), but the REAL irresponsible person was my young and dumb arse for doing what nearly everyone else in a blind does: not wearing hearing protection. Several guns in the tight confines of an enclosed blind shooting in and across other hunters' lanes is a fine recipe for hearing loss.

I can't hear for shite as it is, and there's no doubt I'll lose my hearing if I live to be an old man.

I also have a pair of Walker's Razor muffs with the microphones in them, but I don't like full ear muffs when shotgunning, or not the ones I have at least. Maybe there's some that work better, but I'm pissy about how full muffs affect my ability to shoulder the shotgun, and so I use my surefires when I'm scattergunning.

Believe it or not, Harbor Freight sells a pair of electronic noise canceling muffs that work just as well as my Walker's muffs, including for shooting. I have a few pairs of them and have used them in all sorts of dusty, humid and commercial environments, and the first pair I ever bought, which was years ago, I still have and regularly use.

However, as always, results may vary when considering our dear old Chinaman friend's handiwork, but still, at $14.99 ($10 with a coupon and maybe $20 total with a 2 year protection plan) and 316 reviews totaling nearly 5 stars, they're worth trying out.
